UAS Squad Leader

Overview

The 419th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion invites you to serve as a UAV Squad Leader.
This is a leadership, tactical, and analytical position. You will be responsible for the successful and safe use of reconnaissance or strike systems, coordinating the crew's work, and the effectiveness of target destruction or the quality of intelligence gathered. Your role is decisive for planning operations and destroying priority enemy targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and directing the squad's flight missions;
  • Direct oversight of flight execution, UAS operational safety, and crew performance during combat tasks;
  • Ensuring interaction with other units to obtain target designations and transmit reconnaissance data;
  • Monitoring the technical condition and operability of the system and maintaining the necessary reports.

Requirements:

  • holding sergeant rank (may be assigned after training or transfer);
  • experience working with professional UAS (fixed-wing, heavy multirotors, FPV) and understanding of their tactical application;
  • ability to quickly assess the combat situation and make decisions in a dynamic, high-risk environment;
  • knowledge of safety rules, ammunition handling, and a technical aptitude for maintaining systems;
  • complete secondary or higher education.

Conditions:

  • contract service or mobilization until demobilization is announced;
  • possible transfer from other military units;
  • monetary allowance from 22,000 UAH/month + additional payments (up to 120,000 UAH in total, depending on terms of service);
  • annual paid leave of 30 days or more + additional leave for family circumstances or treatment;
  • medical care: free treatment at military and state medical facilities;
  • gear provision: issuance of uniform, footwear, and equipment according to Armed Forces of Ukraine standards;
  • opportunities for professional development, training, courses, including programs abroad;
  • competent command, clear performance of official duties;
  • support during the Regional TCC, Military Medical Commission, and during training;
  • permanent accommodation at the unit's location.
