Head of Communications Group

Overview

The 419th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion is building a professional team and invites you to serve as Head of the Communications Group.
This position is important for organizing the battalion's media activity, because how others see our unit depends on you.
You will become part of a unit that is shaping a new system of defense — intelligent, technological, effective.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and management: developing and implementing the battalion's media strategy, assigning tasks to the team, and monitoring results;
  • Organizing the team's work: assigning roles (operators, SMM, designers), building effective collaboration, training and developing subordinates;
  • Creating and reviewing materials (text, photos, video, infographics);
  • Managing official pages and other communication channels;
  • Analysis and reporting: monitoring the effectiveness of publications, preparing analytical reports for command, and proposals for improving media work.

Requirements:

  • experience in media, communications, journalism, or SMM (management experience will be an advantage);
  • ability to work with strategy, plan and think ahead, see the big picture;
  • ability to organize a team: assign tasks, monitor completion, motivate;
  • understanding of the basics of photo/video shooting and editing, knowledge of content-creation tools;
  • public communication skills (writing, interviews, working with media);
  • readiness to comply with information security standards;
  • complete secondary or higher education (humanities, journalism, management specialties – an advantage).

Conditions:

  • contract service or mobilization until demobilization is announced;
  • possible transfer from other military units;
  • monetary allowance from 20,000 UAH/month + additional payments (up to 50,000 UAH in total, depending on terms of service);
  • annual paid leave of 30 days or more + additional leave for family circumstances or treatment;
  • medical care: free treatment at military and state medical facilities;
  • gear provision: issuance of uniform, footwear, and equipment according to Armed Forces of Ukraine standards;
