Armored Vehicle Driver-Mechanic
Overview
The 12th Separate Tank Battalion is a military formation within the 10th Army Corps of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the start of the full-scale russian invasion, the unit has taken part in combat, defending Ukrainian territory in the Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Responsibilities:
- Keeping the combat vehicle constantly ready for use
- Confident vehicle operation under any conditions, circumstances, and terrain
- Overcoming obstacles, water crossings, and other difficult terrain as needed, preparing the vehicle to cross water obstacles
- Loading onto vehicles and use in special conditions, complying with combat vehicle loading standards, and rules for boarding and transporting personnel
- Knowledge of the movement route or direction of action of your unit
- Conducting observation in combat, reporting detected targets and the results of engaging them, ensuring the best conditions for firing, quickly occupying a firing position
- Immediately reporting any detected vehicle malfunction (damage) to the commander and taking measures to fix it
Requirements:
- enlisted (private) military rank
- experience operating a tank/IFV/APC, or confidence in your ability to master this skill
- knowledge of the design, technical capabilities, operating rules, and maintenance of the IFV (APC, tank)
- ability to orient yourself in terrain and use a route map
- good physical shape
- military service experience will be an advantage
- vehicle repair experience will be an advantage
- readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
- possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
