Tank Commander
Overview
The 12th Separate Tank Battalion is a military formation within the 10th Army Corps of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the start of the full-scale russian invasion, the unit has taken part in combat, defending Ukrainian territory in the Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Responsibilities:
- skillfully commanding the crew in combat and being responsible for accomplishing the assigned task
- Checking and zeroing weapons, driving the tank, delivering accurate fire from the tank's weapons
- Orienting yourself in any terrain using navigation equipment and topographic maps
- determining target positions, plotting them on a map (diagram), and transmitting data to the platoon commander
- Continuously keeping communications equipment in working, ready-to-use condition, and maintaining stable communication with the platoon commander
- Keeping the tank and its weapons in working order, timely organizing their maintenance, and organizing repairs in case of damage
- Monitoring ammunition and fuel consumption, reporting to the platoon commander on the use of 0.5 and 0.75 of the carried (transported) ammunition and fuel reserves, and taking measures to replenish them
- Maintaining the tank's high combat coordination and constant readiness for combat
- Caring for your subordinates and reporting their needs to the platoon commander
- Performing the duties of platoon commander when necessary
Requirements:
- military rank - starting from junior sergeant
- knowledge of the tactics of action and the capabilities and methods of employing a tank in various types of combat
- a state of health that allows performing tasks without loss of physical fitness
- prohibition on the use of alcohol and narcotic substances
- physical endurance and readiness for active physical exertion
- ability to manage people and courage to take responsibility
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
- possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
