7th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion

The 7th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion is a combat unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that specializes in conducting reconnaissance, obtaining critically important information about the enemy, and providing units with precise intelligence data.

The unit was formed in February 2022 as a rifle battalion. Since 2022, it has taken part in fighting in the Kharkiv direction. In early 2023, it took up positions and fought defensive battles in the Lyman direction, and later in the Bakhmut direction. Since early 2025, the battalion has been carrying out combat missions in the Orikhiv direction.

The structure of the 7th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion includes various units, such as:
UAV unit
Strike UAV unit
Ground robotic systems unit
Electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare unit
Spotters

The battalion is equipped with modern reconnaissance equipment and technology that allow it to carry out tactical and special reconnaissance missions, detect enemy forces, equipment, and intentions, adjust artillery fire, and guide strike systems.
