General information
History of the Academy
The traditions of military education in the Halychyna region date back to the late 19th century, when the region was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
On the site of the modern academy operated the Infantry Cadet School — an educational institution that trained officers for the imperial armed forces.
Since the beginning of Ukraine's independence, the academy has developed steadily, and in 2015 it received the status of a national academy.
Today NASV is a leading educational institution and a recognized leader in military education in Ukraine, training officers for all branches of the land forces.
