Recoilless Gun Operator

Overview

The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• firing the SPG-9 in accordance with established procedures and safety rules
• calculating the trajectory and setting the necessary parameters to achieve firing accuracy and effectiveness
• using special equipment and devices to aim the grenade launcher at the target
• keeping the grenade launcher ready to fire, including ensuring its proper technical condition and servicing the equipment

Requirements:

• unquestionable moral and ethical discipline
• physical endurance and readiness to work in difficult conditions
• knowledge of procedures and safety rules when working with a grenade launcher
• experience in artillery and fire support will be an advantage
• ability to work in a team and follow the chain of command
• readiness to perform tasks in emergency situations

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 23,000 to 123,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
• social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
• guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
• support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
• processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
