Tactical Medicine Instructor

Overview

The 1st Separate Medical Battalion is a unit that combines advanced approaches to casualty evacuation with providing qualified medical care to service members directly on the front line.
The battalion was formed by expanding the medical service of the 1st International Legion in response to the realities of war, drawing on the professionalism of medics and service members gained through combat operations in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The unit is entering a new stage and is building a team of motivated specialists who share one goal: saving the life of every service member.

Responsibilities:

  • conducting tactical medicine training for servicemen
  • collecting and processing information on training performance
  • assessing and monitoring trainees' abilities and skills
  • working according to the developed training program and creating one's own training materials
  • monitoring the training material base
  • periodic participation in evacuating the wounded in the combat zone (voluntary)
  • developing tactical medicine training programs in accordance with the requirements and standards of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Requirements:

  • instructor skills
  • knowledge of TCCC protocols and methods of teaching them
  • organizational and methodological skills will be an advantage
  • knowledge of the international combat medic training program (TCCC)
  • knowledge of English will be an advantage
  • ability to work in a team and effectively present material
  • experience teaching tactical medicine will be an advantage
  • provider-level skills (CLS, CMC, CPP) will be an advantage
  • NAEMT certification will be an advantage
  • possession of a certificate of completion of tactical medicine training or medical education
  • desire for professional growth
  • readiness to work in the combat zone
  • discipline, absence of bad habits (alcohol, drug, gambling addiction, etc.)

Conditions:

  • mobilization until a decision on demobilization is announced or contract service
  • support during the mobilization process and enrollment into the unit
  • guaranteed specialized training relevant to the chosen position
  • full materiel provision, provision of uniform and gear
  • a full package of social protection
  • monetary allowance in accordance with current legislation, depending on the assigned task and region of work
