Overview
The 1st Separate Medical Battalion is a unit that combines advanced approaches to casualty evacuation with providing qualified medical care to service members directly on the front line.
The battalion was formed by expanding the medical service of the 1st International Legion in response to the realities of war, drawing on the professionalism of medics and service members gained through combat operations in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The unit is entering a new stage and is building a team of motivated specialists who share one goal: saving the life of every service member.

Responsibilities:
- providing aid to the wounded at the battalion stabilization point or in a forward surgical team in the combat zone
- organizing work within the stabilization point or forward surgical team
- escorting the wounded to medical facilities on evacuation transport
- diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring surgical intervention
- receiving patients according to the duty schedule
Requirements:
- fitness for military service by state of health
- higher medical education
- experience working in medical institutions in the field of anesthesiology
- possession of an anesthesiologist's certificate
- readiness to work according to international standards for providing aid and understanding the principles of evidence-based medicine
- readiness to regularly undergo training and pursue professional development
- an officer's rank will be an advantage
- desire for professional growth
- readiness to work in the combat zone
- discipline, absence of bad habits (alcohol, drug, gambling addiction, etc.)
Conditions:
- mobilization until a decision on demobilization is announced or contract service
- support during the mobilization process and enrollment into the unit
