Overview

The 1st Separate Medical Battalion is a unit that combines advanced approaches to casualty evacuation with providing qualified medical care to service members directly on the front line.
The battalion was formed by expanding the medical service of the 1st International Legion in response to the realities of war, drawing on the professionalism of medics and service members gained through combat operations in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The unit is entering a new stage and is building a team of motivated specialists who share one goal: saving the life of every service member.

Responsibilities:

• organizing medical support for personnel
• escorting patients to medical facilities
• participating in providing medical care and evacuation of the wounded
• monitoring medical equipment, keeping it in proper condition and ready for use
• conducting treatment-and-prevention and anti-epidemic measures, monitoring compliance with sanitary and hygiene requirements
• referring the sick or injured to medical facilities
• maintaining accounting of sick and wounded servicemen

Requirements:

• medical education (specialization: paramedic, nurse, or medic)
• experience in general medicine, emergency medicine, or military medicine will be an advantage
• skills in performing medical procedures will be an advantage
• first-aid and pre-medical care skills
• ability to quickly and effectively provide aid to the wounded in combat conditions
• knowledge of the basics of tactical medicine and emergency care
• desire for professional growth
• readiness to work in the combat zone
• discipline, absence of bad habits (alcohol, drug, gambling addiction, etc.)

Conditions:

• mobilization until a decision on demobilization is announced or contract service
• support during the mobilization process and enrollment into the unit
