Senior Combat Medic
Overview
The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade named after Kostiantyn Pestushko is a tank forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since 2014, the brigade has taken part in the war in eastern Ukraine as part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit has defended our freedom in the hottest sectors of the front. Its permanent duty station is the city of Kryvyi Rih.
Responsibilities:
- providing pre-medical aid on the battlefield and evacuating wounded service members
- triaging wounded fighters by severity of injury
- training service members in providing self-aid and buddy aid
- maintaining accounting of the wounded
- carrying out combat missions as part of the unit in the combat zone and during rotation
- compliance with the requirements of the regulations and discipline
Requirements:
- age from 25
- fitness for military service by state of health and moral qualities
- medical education
- skills in tactical medicine; tactical medicine courses will be an advantage
- willingness to constantly learn and improve skills
- readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
- responsibility and leadership qualities
- military service experience will be an advantage
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
- one-time monetary reward for signing the first contract equal to 10 subsistence minimums
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
- service in the city of Kryvyi Rih and in the combat zone
- the opportunity for career growth and participation in relevant military training
- gear and equipment provision, including personal protective equipment, accommodation, meals, and medical care for the duration of service
- official annual leave and leave for family circumstances
- assistance in obtaining Combat Veteran status in case of participation in combat operations, and other social guarantees in accordance with current legislation of Ukraine
