Drone Technician

Overview

The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• setting up and optimizing FPV drones for combat missions
• maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment
• participating in testing and trials
• fixing non-critical faults in drones
• carrying out tasks in the combat zone to support UAV operators on the front line

Requirements:

• higher or secondary professional education in technical fields (engineering, computer science) will be an advantage
• experience piloting and operating UAVs (civilian or military courses) will be an advantage
• knowledge of FPV drone design and understanding of the technical specifications of its components (setup of the drone, cameras, controllers, and other electronics)
• ability to work in a team
• responsibility and readiness to learn

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
• monetary allowance from 23,000 to 123,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
• social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
• guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
• processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
• support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
