Overview

The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• carrying out combat (special) missions as part of the unit, including on the line of direct contact with the enemy
• aiming and conducting precision fire from weapons
• working with various types of weapons (machine guns, grenade launchers)
• adjusting fire and working with sighting devices
• maintaining weapons and preparing them for combat
• maintaining communication with command and other units to coordinate actions
• compliance with governing documents and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• basic physical fitness and endurance
• motivation to destroy the enemy and learn new things
• abstinence from alcohol and psychotropic substances
• experience working with weapons will be an advantage
• military service experience, service in law enforcement or security agencies will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
• social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
• guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
• support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
• processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
