Overview
The 45th Separate Artillery Brigade named after General Myron Tarnavsky began carrying out combat missions in the first days of March 2022. The brigade and its battalions defended Kyiv, and the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, fought in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and in the north of the country. The brigade's units took part in the Kharkiv counteroffensive operation and the operation to liberate the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, defended Bakhmut and Soledar, Siversk and Chasiv Yar, and took part in operations in other sectors of the front. For the heroism and courage shown, more than 2,700 of the brigade's servicemen have been awarded state and departmental honors. The brigade is armed with Western and modern domestic artillery weapons and reconnaissance equipment.
Responsibilities:
- inspecting, preparing, carrying, and loading 155mm ammunition
- maintaining the working condition of weapons and their servicing
- carrying out tasks to engage the enemy as part of a crew
- preparing and keeping the firing position combat-ready
Requirements:
- secondary education
- age from 18
- fitness for military service by state of health
- good physical shape and endurance
- motivation to fight the enemy, a high level of ideological, moral, and professional qualities
- discipline and stress resistance
- no criminal record
- no alcohol or drug dependency
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
- guaranteed annual leave of up to 30 days + up to 10 days of leave for family circumstances
- obtaining Combat Veteran status and benefits under current legislation
- the opportunity for career growth and acquiring new specialties
- service as part of a combat unit in the combat zone
