Head of Medical Service

Overview

The head of the medical service is a serviceman responsible for the organization of medical support, the provision of first and prehospital care, the preservation of the health of personnel and the prevention of diseases in the military unit

Responsibilities:

• organization and control of medical support for personnel of the unit
• provision of prehospital and first aid to servicemen
• prevention of diseases, control of sanitary and hygienic condition of units
• ordering, accounting and storage of medicines and medical property
• organization of evacuation of wounded and sick to medical institutions

Requirements:

• higher medical education (specialty "medicine" or similar)
• availability of a valid certificate of a specialist doctor and a certificate of assignment of a category
• practical experience in the field of health care or emergency medicine
• knowledge of the basics of military medical training and the procedure for providing prehospital care
• skills in maintaining medical records and accounting for medicines
• officer rank
