Overview
The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign has been defending Ukraine since the very start of the russian aggression. In 2014, units of the brigade advanced into Donetsk region to cover the state border.
From the first day of the full-scale invasion, the brigade defended Odesa and part of Mykolaiv region. From August 2022, the brigade played a key role in the offensive operation to liberate Kherson and was among the first to enter the city. Since early December 2022 and to this day, the brigade has been carrying out combat missions in the Bakhmut sector, destroying russian army personnel and equipment. This vacancy is also available to candidates under the "Contract 18-24" program.
Responsibilities:
- conducting reconnaissance using various technical means (drones, night-vision devices, communication equipment, etc.)
- preparing reconnaissance operations and coordinating with other units
- carrying out combat reconnaissance missions as part of the unit
- compliance with military discipline and chain of command
Requirements:
- fitness for military service in combat units by state of health
- knowledge of UAV operating principles will be an advantage
- an inclination to learn and self-improve
- ability to work both in a team and independently
- ability to endure difficult living and service conditions
- ability to quickly adapt to a situation and quickly make sound decisions
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 190,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and place of service
- full materiel provision
- guaranteed annual leave of up to 30 calendar days + additional leave of up to 10 days for family circumstances
- guaranteed annual wellness payment equal to one month's monetary allowance
- free medical care
- motivated team, support from commanders, and reasonable leadership
