Mortar Platoon Commander

Overview

The 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" has been defending Ukrainian land from Russian armed aggression since its formation in 2015. In March-April 2022, the brigade's units carried out combat missions in the Kyiv region, and from May 2022 onward in eastern Ukraine. The brigade continues to fight effectively and hold the line of defense. This vacancy is for service within the 2nd Rifle Battalion of the 10th Brigade. The unit is looking for reasonable, motivated people. Lack of experience is not a problem, since the unit provides training for newcomers led by experienced, battle-hardened veterans.

Responsibilities:

• preparing positions for maneuvering and protecting personnel
• commanding a mortar platoon
• respect for one's commanders and personnel
• working with personnel

Requirements:

• possession of an officer's rank
• experience working with a mortar will be an advantage
• age from 18
• readiness to carry out assigned tasks
• responsibility, discipline, readiness to constantly learn and develop

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen only within the Ground Forces with the direct commander's consent
• possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
• monetary allowance in accordance with current legislation
• provision of uniforms and personal protective equipment
• leave according to schedule
• service in the active combat zone
