FPV/UAV Master Engineer

Overview

The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces, established by motivated volunteers in the spring of 2022 to defend the Motherland from the aggressor's attack and to return occupied territories. The brigade's main value is the life of its personnel! The unit's advantages are its equipment (Abrams, Bradley, Paladin), modern Western supplies, and weapons. In the summer of 2022, the unit took part in combat during the defense of the Vuhledar thermal power plant. In 2023, the brigade played a key role in breaking through the enemy's defensive line and liberating the settlement of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia sector. Since the autumn of 2023, the brigade has been actively fighting in the Avdiivka sector.

Responsibilities:

• assembling, configuring, and flashing FPV drones
• developing and implementing improvements to existing solutions
• programming and enhancing the capabilities of microcontrollers
• monitoring current trends in radio communication equipment and its jamming to use viable technical solutions
• working with electronic measuring instruments and radio-frequency equipment
• selecting and calculating the antenna-feeder path and radio-frequency amplification equipment, manufacturing antennas
• compliance with safety requirements
• carrying out assigned tasks as part of the unit
• informing the immediate commander of identified deficiencies in the operation of products and equipment
• accounting for used material assets, monitoring stock levels, and organizing timely replenishment of supplies

Requirements:

• high digital literacy and ability to learn
• experience piloting UAVs is desired
• specialized education in radio electronics and radio engineering is desirable, or fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in the field
• experience in embedded development and microcontroller programming (preferably in the UAV field)
• understanding of and skills working with software for configuring FPV drones (Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot)

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
• monetary allowance in accordance with current legislation
• provision of uniforms, personal protective equipment, and full meals
• guaranteed annual leave
