Overview

The 40th Artillery Brigade named after Grand Duke Vytautas is an artillery forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subordinate to the "South" Operational Command. With the start of the large-scale invasion, units of the brigade contained the advance of russian forces in the Donetsk and Kharkiv sectors. The brigade's artillerymen took part in the Sloboda offensive operation to liberate the temporarily occupied territory of Kharkiv region.

Responsibilities:

  • WITHOUT HESITATION OR THE SLIGHTEST DOUBT, DESTROY THE ENEMY ON OUR LAND BY ANY MEANS, MOSTLY WITH ARTILLERY FIRE, SHOW INITIATIVE AND SELF-SACRIFICE FOR THE RESTORATION OF UKRAINE'S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY;
  • Carrying out assigned tasks according to job descriptions, per the unit commander's instructions;
  • Carrying out combat tasks as part of the unit;
  • Participating in planning and carrying out combat operations, coordinating actions with other units to achieve objectives;
  • Orienting yourself in terrain with and without geolocation devices, working with the relevant documentation;
  • Preparing self-propelled artillery guns and other equipment, preparing and working with ammunition;
  • Maintaining and repairing artillery systems;
  • Determining target coordinates, calculating firing settings, and adjusting fire (after training);
  • Using and operating assigned weapons, equipment, special technical devices, and other entrusted property, and monitoring their upkeep and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • DESIRE TO DESTROY THE ENEMY BY ALL AVAILABLE MEANS, TO PRESERVE AND RESTORE THE TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF OUR STATE.
  • age 18 or older (exceptions possible at the candidate's request);
  • basic general secondary education; technical or other education will be an advantage;
  • no drug or alcohol dependency, abstinence from alcohol and psychotropic substances;
  • fitness for military service based on health condition and moral qualities;
  • a high level of motivation and stress resistance, understanding of the need for military subordination;
  • desire to learn and improve, to acquire and maintain a high level of firing and specialized training, continuous improvement of acquired skills both independently and at training centers;
  • motivation to work for the unit's victory and results for as long as needed;
  • readiness to serve under combat conditions.

Conditions:

  • a full social package, provision of all benefits guaranteed by the legislation of Ukraine (upon signing the first contract, servicemen will receive a one-time compensation of 50% of the first installment under the Ye-Oselya program, plus 100,000 UAH after each of the first 2 years of service. A certificate for a 150,000 UAH car purchase is also available.);
  • military contract service (or mobilization until the end of martial law); mobilization directly into the military unit is possible;
  • vacancy for civilians and persons liable for military service (possibility of transferring current servicemen);
  • service in the combat zone, the opportunity to obtain Combat Veteran status;
  • monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias based on combat task performance;
  • PROACTIVE SOLDIERS WHO DESTROY THE MOST ENEMY EQUIPMENT, AND ESPECIALLY ENEMY PERSONNEL, WILL RECEIVE ADDITIONAL, SPECIAL RECOGNITION!
  • gear provision, food provision (provision of uniform and personal protective equipment, full meals);
  • guaranteed annual main leave of 30 days + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances;
  • medical care (free medical care for servicemen and their family members, sanatorium and resort treatment, and financial compensation for possible injury sustained in combat);
  • mandatory basic combined-arms training to NATO standards at a training unit, both in Ukraine and abroad;
  • free education at higher (military) education institutions, job retention;
