Gun Crew Member
Overview
An artillery gun crew member is a soldier in an artillery crew who handles preparation, loading, and firing. Their main tasks are bringing up ammunition, assisting with laying, working with charges, and maintaining the weapon. This is a key role for the speed and accuracy of the artillery.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing ammunition and loading the gun
- Assisting in cleaning and maintaining the gun
- Deploying, packing up, and camouflaging the gun, transporting ammunition
- Working as part of a crew and clearly following commands
Requirements:
- fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
- discipline and ability to work as part of a team
- ability to learn quickly and work with weapons
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are of limited fitness for military service
- full materiel and technical provision
