Signal and Cybersecurity Group Officer
Overview
The 7th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion is a combat unit within the Armed Forces of Ukraine that specializes in conducting reconnaissance, obtaining critically important information about the enemy, and providing units with accurate intelligence data.
The 7th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion is a unit for motivated, physically resilient, and responsible service members who are ready to carry out difficult tasks for the sake of Ukraine's security and future.
We invite motivated men and women to serve under contract/mobilization in the position of communications and cybersecurity group officer.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing, planning, and monitoring the operation of communications and data transmission systems at headquarters and subordinate units
- Ensuring stable, uninterrupted, and secure communications during the preparation and conduct of combat operations
- Participating in planning combat operations regarding communications and information systems support
- Coordinating the work of communications units, IT specialists, and responsible personnel
- Organizing and monitoring the use of encryption tools and secure communication channels
- Monitoring compliance with information and cybersecurity requirements
- Detecting threats of unauthorized access, information leaks, and cyberattacks, and taking response measures
- Developing measures for the redundancy, restoration, and resilience of communications systems
- Preparing communication diagrams, signal tables, frequencies, call signs, and cyber defense plans
- Participating in staff training and exercises, practicing command and communications issues
- Analyzing the operation of communications systems, preparing proposals for their improvement
- Maintaining technical and reporting documentation
- Compliance with confidentiality and official information security requirements
Requirements:
- strict compliance with military discipline and the Statutes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- high responsibility and motivation
- age 20 to 50
- officer's rank
- confident-user-level PC skills, knowledge of office programs (Word, Excel)
- military or technical education (communications, telecommunications, IT, cybersecurity)
- knowledge of the principles of organizing military communications and command
- understanding of the basics of information and cybersecurity
- experience operating communications and data transmission equipment
- ability to work with diagrams, tables, and technical documentation
- confident PC skills and basic IT tools
- responsibility, discipline, attentiveness to detail
- ability to work under conditions of increased workload and time constraints
Conditions:
- contract service or mobilization for the duration of martial law
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
