EW Squad Leader

Overview

The 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade is a motorized infantry brigade within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stationed in the Donetsk region. The brigade was formed in early 2015 following the start of russian aggression in 2014. In 2022, the unit took part in the battles for Mariupol, Volnovakha, Pisky, Vuhledar, Huliaipole, and Bakhmut.

Responsibilities:

  • commanding subordinate personnel
  • responsibility for the squad's completion of combat missions
  • Operating EW equipment
  • training of unit personnel
  • compliance with discipline and chain of command rules
  • coordinating with commanders of other squads and the platoon commander
  • preparing reports and analyzing work results

Requirements:

  • leadership qualities, desire to learn and develop
  • excellent proficiency with the squad's main equipment and weapon types
  • readiness to perform tasks in the combat zone
  • confident proficiency in computers and communication equipment
  • ability to work in a team and follow established rules and laws
  • understanding of ER/EW system design principles
  • understanding of radio communications theory and the principles of radio wave propagation
  • radio engineering education, experience configuring electronic equipment, or practical experience in a related field will be an advantage
  • practical experience in administration or programming will be an advantage

Conditions:

  • mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
  • possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
  • possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
  • monetary allowance from 21,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on place of service
  • provision of all necessary supplies and equipment
  • social benefits in accordance with current legislation: annual leave — 30 calendar days, additional 15-day leave for Combat Veterans, medical care, etc.
  • a package of social and legal protection guarantees for servicemen and their family members
  • annual monetary wellness assistance
  • Combat Veteran status
  • mandatory basic general military training, training in your specialty
