Overview

The 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade is a motorized infantry brigade within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stationed in the Donetsk region. The brigade was formed in early 2015 following the start of russian aggression in 2014. In 2022, the unit took part in the battles for Mariupol, Volnovakha, Pisky, Vuhledar, Huliaipole, and Bakhmut.

Responsibilities:

  • carrying out reconnaissance operations in the unit's area of responsibility
  • detecting and assessing enemy actions, positions, movement, and intentions, identifying targets for destruction
  • carrying out sniper fire using specialized sniper weapons and reliable camouflage of one's own position
  • Knowledge and ability to use various types of weapons, including sniper rifles and other small arms
  • providing accurate enemy coordinates and other important information for further use
  • responsibility for the technical condition and maintenance of the sniper weapon and equipment
  • proficiency in maneuvering tactics and firing at various distances

Requirements:

  • a position for civilians only, no transfers
  • age 18 to 45
  • an enlisted/NCO position
  • analytical skills, basic understanding of ballistics
  • fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
  • motivation to learn, ability to master new approaches, knowledge, and skills in practice
  • maintaining discipline in everyday life and combat operations, reasonable initiative, and the ability to work as part of a team
  • no criminal record
  • military service experience and combat experience will be an advantage
  • experience serving in special law enforcement units as a sniper will be a significant advantage

Conditions:

  • mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
  • monetary allowance from 30,000 to over 130,000 hryvnias depending on prior length of service, rank, assigned tasks, and place of service
  • transfer of current servicemen is NOT available
  • basic combined-arms training at a training center (if needed)
  • qualified specialized training before taking up the position and the possibility of military training abroad
