Overview

The 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade is a motorized infantry brigade within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stationed in the Donetsk region. The brigade was formed in early 2015 following the start of russian aggression in 2014. In 2022, the unit took part in the battles for Mariupol, Volnovakha, Pisky, Vuhledar, Huliaipole, and Bakhmut.

Responsibilities:

• Providing emergency neurological care for traumatic brain injuries, concussions, nervous system injuries, and pain syndromes
• Performing initial neurological assessment of the wounded, determining the extent of injury and threat to life
• Participating in stabilizing patients before and during medical evacuation
• Diagnosing and treating central and peripheral nervous system injuries with limited resources
• Monitoring and managing pain syndrome, neurological complications, and the effects of stress and blast injuries
• Working with modern medical equipment, monitoring, and evacuation devices
• Documenting patients' condition, injuries sustained, and medical care provided
• Interacting with surgeons, anesthesiologists, psychiatrists, paramedics, and other brigade medical specialists
• Continuously improving professional skills, participating in tactical medicine and military field training exercises

Requirements:

• desire to serve Ukraine and defend the Motherland
• medical education in "Neurology"
• experience working in a neurology department, emergency room, or emergency medical care — preferred
• knowledge of tactical medicine principles, providing aid for TBI, concussions, and nervous system injuries in combat conditions
• skills in clinical assessment of neurological condition, pain management, and patient stabilization
• ability to work with modern medical equipment
• readiness to act under stressful and combat conditions, make quick decisions
• physical endurance, discipline, psychological resilience
• desire to undergo additional training and advance your skills
• fitness for military service based on health condition (possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.)

Conditions:

• possibility of service for candidates with "unfit for military service" status
• a fixed-term contract of 3 or 5 years
• contract under the "60+" program
• contract until the end of the special period
