Rifleman-Medical Orderly (Contract 18-24)

Overview

The 131st Separate Reconnaissance Battalion named after Colonel Yevhen Konovalets ("South" Operational Command) is recruiting for one of the most important positions in the combat group — Rifleman-Medic.

Our battalion, established in 2015, specializes in reconnaissance and active combat operations in eastern Ukraine. In every operation there is one person on whom not only the success of the mission but also the lives of fellow soldiers depend.

A Rifleman-Medic is a combat fighter and medical support in one. You fight shoulder to shoulder with the group, while also being the one who provides first aid in the event of a wound. Your skills save lives on the battlefield.

Responsibilities:

• carrying out combat missions as part of the unit
• assisting the unit's combat medic
• providing pre-medical aid
• evacuation of the wounded
• carrying out commanders' orders

Requirements:

• successful completion of a tactical medicine course will be an advantage
• fitness for service by state of health and moral qualities
• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• age from 18
• a high level of motivation and stress resistance
• having combat experience will be an advantage

Conditions:

• Terms of service for candidates aged 18-24:
• contract service for a term of 1 year
• monetary allowance of 1,000,000 hryvnias per year under the "Contract 18-24" program (200,000 hryvnias immediately upon signing the contract and 800,000 hryvnias paid in two installments over the contract term) + up to an additional 120,000 hryvnias per month + bonuses for combat tasks
• priority processing through the Military Medical Commission
• completion of enhanced training (basic combined-arms training, specialized training, an adaptation course at the military unit, etc.) of up to three months in the event of assignment to a position in a new specialty and/or the unit's rearmament with new weapons and military equipment
• housing compensation during service
• Terms of service for candidates aged 25 and over:
• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• possibility of service for candidates with unauthorized-absence (SZCh) status
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 200,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
• provision of uniforms and personal protective equipment, full meals
• mandatory basic combined-arms training at a training unit
• training before taking up the position
• the prospect of career growth

• guaranteed annual main leave + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
• service in the active combat zone
