Assault Platoon Commander

Overview

The 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" is a professional assault unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2014 on the wave of the Revolution of Dignity. The battalion took part in the fiercest battles in eastern Ukraine in 2014-2022 and continues to carry out combat missions at the front today.

Responsibilities:

• Planning assault operations: analyzing terrain, determining the approach route and withdrawal paths
• Distributing tasks and defining roles for personnel
• Coordinating logistics, movement, and fire cover during operations
• Interacting with the company commander and other units
• Organizing the platoon's supplies
• Training/coordination and providing moral support to personnel
• Analyzing the conduct of combat operations

Requirements:

• fitness for military service
• readiness to perform tasks in combat areas
• military service experience and participation in combat operations
• knowledge of assault tactics and combat organization
• skills in operational planning and decision-making in field conditions
• a high level of responsibility and self-organization, leadership qualities, ability to work in a team
• basic knowledge of English
• possession of a category B driver's license
• an officer's rank will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• possibility of service for candidates with unauthorized-absence (SZCh) status
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 190,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task
• full provision of ammunition, weapons, and all necessary gear
• a professional team and support from fellow soldiers
• annual main leave of 30 days + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
• social protection and guaranteed life insurance of 15 million hryvnias
• the opportunity to obtain Combat Veteran status
