Vampire Bomber Operator
Overview
The 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" is a professional assault unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2014 on the wave of the Revolution of Dignity. The battalion took part in the fiercest battles in eastern Ukraine in 2014-2022 and continues to carry out combat missions at the front today. The unit combines the experience of a professional army with an unbreakable volunteer spirit. A clear goal, coordinated action, brotherhood, and motivation — this is what sets "Aidar" apart.
A Vampire UAV Operator is a service member who operates the domestically produced bomber drone. This heavy bomber destroys concentrations of enemy personnel, ammunition storage sites, and the locations of mortar and UAV units, among other targets. Join a real team of like-minded people. Responsibilities:
- Bombing enemy targets: shelters, concentrations of personnel and equipment
- Mining designated areas
- Ensuring the logistics component of assault operations: delivering ammunition, medication, and food to forward positions
- Providing fire support for assault groups
- Assessing work effectiveness and analyzing enemy losses
- Preparing the drone for flight — checking the video link system, calibration, controller configuration, and arming with munitions
Requirements:
- understanding of the specifics of using heavy bombers
- ability to work with various software and electronic devices
- experience using maps and the ability to navigate terrain well
- readiness to perform tasks in combat areas
- possession of a category B driver's license
- basic knowledge of English
- high motivation, ability to work in a team, willingness to learn, sociability
- experience working with the Delta, Vezha, and Kropyva systems will be an advantage
- experience piloting multirotor-type drones will be an advantage
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
- possibility of service for candidates with unauthorized-absence (SZCh) status
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 190,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task
- full provision of necessary equipment and gear
- annual main leave of 30 days + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
- social protection and life insurance of 15 million hryvnias
