Combat Medic

Overview

The 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" is a professional assault unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2014 on the wave of the Revolution of Dignity. The battalion took part in the fiercest battles in eastern Ukraine in 2014-2022 and continues to carry out combat missions at the front today.
We combine the experience of a professional army with an unbreakable volunteer spirit. A clear goal, coordinated action, brotherhood, and motivation — this is what sets "Aidar" apart.

A Combat Medic is not necessarily a doctor with a diploma, but a person who has completed tactical medicine training and taken on the responsibility of saving lives in extreme conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing first medical aid in combat conditions (stopping bleeding, applying dressings, ensuring airway patency, etc.)
  • Organizing triage of the wounded by severity, ensuring safe evacuation and escort to the stabilization point.
  • Coordinating medical care for the wounded in field conditions
  • Keep records of medical supplies and monitor their use
  • Providing medical training for unit personnel (briefings, drills)
  • Planning and organizing medical support for military operations

Requirements:

  • a sufficient level of physical fitness
  • readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
  • responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions
  • willingness to learn and work according to international standards for providing emergency medical care
  • military service experience as a combat medic will be an advantage
  • completion of CLS level courses (CMC, CPP, Medevac) will be an advantage

Conditions:

  • service in a legendary unit with combat experience since 2014

  • monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task
  • full provision of ammunition, medication, and necessary gear.
  • annual main leave of 30 days + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
  • social protection and guaranteed life insurance of 15 million
  • the opportunity to obtain Combat Veteran status
