UAV Master Technician

Overview

The 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" is a professional assault unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2014 on the wave of the Revolution of Dignity. The battalion took part in the fiercest battles in eastern Ukraine in 2014-2022 and continues to carry out combat missions at the front today.

A UAV Technician is a specialist responsible for the maintenance, repair, upgrading, and configuration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). He ensures the technical readiness of UAVs for combat, reconnaissance, and other missions, and trains personnel in their operation.

Responsibilities:

• repair and maintenance of UAVs
• Soldering and assembling components
• Configuring electronic systems and devices (microcontrollers, microprocessors)
• hardware and software modernization of UAVs
• Working with batteries and power systems

Requirements:

• experience maintaining and repairing electronics
• experience working with measuring instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.)
• soldering skills
• ability to work with technical documentation
• confident computer user
• basic level of understanding of technologies and operating principles of unmanned systems
• experience piloting UAVs will be an advantage
• ability to read electrical schematics and understanding of basic circuit design principles will be an advantage
