Overview

The 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" is a professional assault unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2014 on the wave of the Revolution of Dignity. The battalion took part in the fiercest battles in eastern Ukraine in 2014-2022 and continues to carry out combat missions at the front today.
We combine the experience of a professional army with an unbreakable volunteer spirit. A clear goal, coordinated action, brotherhood, and motivation — this is what sets "Aidar" apart.

A UAV Operator is a specialist who operates unmanned aerial vehicles as part of combat or reconnaissance operations. His main tasks are piloting, gathering reconnaissance information, carrying out strike missions, and correcting artillery fire.

By joining our unit, you will have the opportunity to choose a specialization (fixed-wing, multirotor, strike, FPV) and undergo professional training.

Responsibilities:

• Escorting the unit's groups during combat task performance
• adjusting artillery fire
• Planning missions and preparing reference maps
• Aerial reconnaissance and visual observation
• Decrypting, processing, analyzing, and storing data obtained during reconnaissance
• Destroying the enemy using strike and FPV drones
• Preparing the UAV for flight (checking, calibrating, basic maintenance)

Requirements:

• readiness to perform tasks in combat areas
• ability to stay calm in critical situations
• high motivation, ability to work in a team, willingness to learn, sociability
• basic knowledge of English
• possession of a category B driver's license
• ability to work with various software and electronic devices
• experience using maps and the ability to navigate terrain well
• experience piloting UAVs will be an advantage

Conditions:

• service in a legendary unit with combat experience since 2014
• a professional team and support from fellow soldiers
• the opportunity to choose a specialization (fixed-wing, multirotor, strike, FPV) and complete specialized training
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task
• full provision of ammunition, weapons, and all necessary gear.
