Driver-Radio Operator

Overview

The 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" is a professional assault unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2014 on the wave of the Revolution of Dignity. The battalion took part in the fiercest battles in eastern Ukraine in 2014-2022 and continues to carry out combat missions at the front today.

A Driver-Radio Operator is a service member who not only operates a vehicle but also provides communications, using radios and other specialized equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operating the vehicle, transporting personnel and cargo
• deploying communication equipment and preparing it for operation
• Monitoring and maintaining radio communications in combat and training conditions
• Providing technical support to protect against radio interference
• Ensuring the proper functioning, upkeep, and maintenance of radio equipment
• Cryptographic protection of communications and maintaining information confidentiality

Requirements:

• vocational/higher education in fields such as: communications, computer systems and networks, etc.
• driver's license category B
• 1+ years of experience driving vehicles
• experience working with radio stations and network equipment, knowledge of radio telephony
• experienced PC user, a high level of technical literacy
• experience working as a system administrator will be an advantage
• readiness to work in combat operations areas

Conditions:
