Overview

The 74th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion is part of the military intelligence of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is based in the urban-type settlement of Cherkaske, Dnipropetrovsk region. A participant in the russian-Ukrainian war, its members held the defense of the Donetsk Airport, among other engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out tasks related to conducting reconnaissance and obtaining intelligence on the enemy;
• Delivering sniper fire in any conditions and at any time of day;
• Ability to adjust fire from weapons and artillery;
• Confident terrain orientation, ability to determine coordinates;
• Keeping assigned weapons, equipment, and gear in proper condition;
• Compliance with military discipline.

Requirements:

• motivation to defend the Motherland;
• fitness for service based on health condition and moral qualities;
• excellent physical shape and increased stress-resistance requirements;
• readiness to perform duties in the combat operations area;
• honor and dignity;
• combat experience (will be an advantage).

Conditions:

• performance of official duties in the combat operations area;
• official mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service;
• stable monetary allowance from 29,900 UAH (with certification) plus additional payments (depending on task performance conditions);
• the opportunity for further career growth or transfer to other units (formations);
• mandatory basic combined-arms and specialized training;
• food and gear provision, free medical care;
• insurance and other social guarantees, the possibility of applying for benefits.
