Overview

The 55th Separate Artillery Brigade "Zaporizka Sich" ("Zaporizhian Sich") is a military formation of the missile forces and artillery of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stationed in the city of Zaporizhzhia. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the brigade's units held back the advance of Russian troops in the Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia sectors, and were also among those who held the defense of Mariupol. The artillerymen of the "Zaporizka Sich" brigade took part in the liberation of the temporarily occupied territory of Zmiinyi Island and the right bank of the Kherson region.

Responsibilities:

  • aiming the gun precisely
  • working as part of a crew
  • preserving and maintaining artillery equipment

Requirements:

  • age from 18
  • secondary education or higher
  • no criminal record
  • fitness for service by state of health and moral qualities
  • good physical fitness will be an advantage
  • motivation to serve the Ukrainian people and defend the sovereignty of the state
  • no alcohol or drug dependency

Conditions:

  • mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service for a term of 3 years
  • service in the combat zone
  • gear and food provision
  • medical care
  • monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on where tasks are performed
  • social support
  • the opportunity for career growth
  • participation in international military training
  • obtaining Combat Veteran status
