Platoon Combat Medic

Overview

A combat medic is a specialist who provides medical care on the front line and supports the combat unit in critical situations. The main task of a combat medic is to provide first aid to the wounded, evacuate the wounded from the battlefield, and carry out stabilization measures to preserve life until transportation to medical facilities. Responsibilities:

• Providing first medical aid in combat conditions;
• Evacuating the wounded from the battlefield, ensuring their safety;
• Assessing the condition of casualties and providing initial diagnosis;
• Performing stabilization measures (stopping bleeding, supporting breathing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation);
• Preparing to transport the wounded to medical facilities;
• Keeping personal medical equipment ready;
• Collaborating with other units and medical personnel to respond quickly to combat situations.

Requirements:

• Medical education (vocational or higher, preference given to "Nurse" or "Paramedic" specialization);
• Experience working under conditions of increased danger or knowledge of emergency medicine;
• Tactical medicine skills, knowledge of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) protocols;
• Stress resistance, physical endurance, the ability to make quick decisions;
• Skills working with medical equipment (tourniquets, bandages, oxygen equipment, etc.);
• Responsibility, attention to detail, readiness to work in extreme conditions;
• Knowledge of basic NATO medical standards is preferred.
