External Pilot, UAV Operator

Overview

A UAV operator controls and monitors unmanned aerial vehicles for the purpose of gathering intelligence, monitoring the situation, and supporting combat operations. The operator's tasks include flight planning, real-time UAV control, and receiving and processing collected information for command. This position suits technically trained individuals with a high level of attentiveness and the ability to work under increased responsibility. Responsibilities:

• Preparing UAVs for flight, checking equipment before launch;
• Operating UAVs during reconnaissance and monitoring tasks;
• Gathering and transmitting reconnaissance information to the command post;
• Evaluating data from UAV cameras and sensors, providing operational reports;
• Ensuring flight safety and compliance with all protocols;
• Performing maintenance and minor repairs of UAV equipment.

Requirements:

• Vocational or higher education (preferably in technical sciences, aviation, or telecommunications);
• Desired experience working with unmanned vehicles or in the aviation field;
• Knowledge of the basics of navigation, aerodynamics, and UAV control principles;
• Attentiveness, responsibility, and the ability to make quick decisions;
• Physical endurance and readiness to work in field conditions;
• Certificates or completion of specialized UAV control courses are preferred.
