Paramedic

Overview

The 128th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade has been defending Ukrainian land from Russian armed aggression since its formation in 2022. Starting in April 2022, the brigade's units carried out combat missions in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv sectors. The brigade continues to fight effectively and hold the line of defense. Recognizing the value of the life and health of every service member, and especially the knowledge and skills of specialists with medical training, we are looking for medical personnel for medical positions as a "paramedic." Lack of experience is not a problem, since the unit provides training for newcomers led by experienced specialists.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out medical evacuation tasks for sick and wounded servicemen of the unit as part of the medical station's/medical company's evacuation crew, leading the evacuation crew.
  • Performing medical procedures in your specialty, assisting the doctor, and independently seeing and treating patients at the medical station/medical company.
  • Maintaining medical records, tracking medical supplies at the medical station/medical company, and overseeing patients through stages of treatment.
  • Job duties are determined individually based on each medical professional's specialized education and experience.
  • Following the commander's orders.
  • Continuously maintaining skills in providing medical care to the sick and wounded.

Requirements:

  • age 20 to 50.
  • "fit for military service" or "fit for service in rear-area, medical units" based on health condition and moral-psychological qualities.
  • medical education — a diploma in "paramedic" / "doctor" with a specialization certificate and without completion of a military department program / "doctor" without a specialization certificate and without completion of a military department program
  • no officer rank.
  • willingness to constantly learn and develop.
  • Readiness to work in a team.
  • no alcohol/drug/gambling dependency and no criminal record.
  • candidates who are current servicemen of other military units are considered (options may also be considered for those with "unauthorized absence" status)
  • combat experience will be an advantage.
  • experience in sports and active tourism will be an advantage
  • computer skills experience will be an advantage

Conditions:

  • the opportunity to meet the commander and the unit before making a decision, with no risk of forced mobilization
  • service in a well-coordinated, experienced medical team
  • service by contract / by mobilization.
  • service in the rear / near the active combat zone / in the active combat zone.
  • qualified guidance at all stages of mobilization or transfer through to taking up the position.
  • training before taking up the position and, if necessary, professional training both in Ukraine and abroad.
  • provision of uniform and personal protective equipment, and full meals.

  • guaranteed annual paid main leave of 30 days + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances, with the possibility of traveling abroad.
  • stable financial provision (base salary from 20,000 UAH + bonus of up to 170,000 UAH) based on task performance and execution of combat orders.
  • free treatment with monetary allowance retained, and financial compensation for injuries sustained in combat.
  • timely processing of Combat Veteran status
  • obtaining sergeant rank
