Scout-Sapper

Overview

A scout-sapper is a serviceman who performs tasks detecting, neutralizing, or laying mine-explosive obstacles during reconnaissance operations. They work as part of a mobile reconnaissance group, ensuring the unit can safely pass through potentially mined or dangerous terrain.

Responsibilities:

  • Detecting mines, tripwires, and explosive devices.
  • Neutralizing enemy engineering traps.
  • Laying mines and engineering obstacles in the enemy's rear.
  • Working with specialized sapper equipment and instruments.
  • Conducting engineering reconnaissance of the area.
  • Maintaining technical documentation and reporting on work performed.

Requirements:

  • Secondary or specialized technical education (engineering or military).
  • Basic knowledge of explosives and engineering.
  • Good physical shape, attentiveness, ability to work with equipment.
  • High responsibility, composure, readiness to work under risky conditions.

  • Continuous improvement of knowledge and skills at the Armed Forces of Ukraine's engineering school.
