Overview
The 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians is a military formation of the mechanized forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is stationed in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. Since 2014, the brigade has taken part in the war in eastern Ukraine as part of the ATO/JFO forces, including heavy fighting on the russian-Ukrainian border, in the Azov Sea coastal area, and near Avdiivka in the industrial zone. At the start of the full-scale invasion, the brigade defended Kyiv. The soldiers of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade took part in the battles for Irpin, Moshchun, Hostomel, and Bucha. Since the summer, the brigade has been defending Ukraine in the Donbas. The brigade bears its honorary name in honor of the Black Zaporozhians, a military formation from the times of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR).
Responsibilities:
- carrying out combat missions as part of the unit
- operating and using automated control systems for radio jamming equipment
- electronic warfare against unmanned aerial vehicles
- monitoring the radio-frequency spectrum, detecting and analyzing signals
- analyzing, processing, and systematizing data
- compliance with the requirements of the regulations and discipline
- timely maintenance of personal weapons
Requirements:
- age from 18
- readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
- fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
- secondary, vocational secondary/higher education
- a high level of motivation and stress resistance
- responsibility, attentiveness, and ability to make quick decisions
- ability to work as part of a team
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent after mandatory selection procedures
- service in the combat zone
- provision of training for the position
- shift-based schedule for combat task performance
- the prospect of career growth and the development of leadership skills
- a private/sergeant rank position
- monetary allowance from 21,000 + additional reward of 100,000 hryvnias, proportional to the days of combat task performance
- additional one-time reward of 70,000 hryvnias for every full 30 days of task performance on the line of combat contact
