Platoon Combat Medic

Overview

The 5th Separate Rifle Battalion is a military formation within the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The battalion was formed on March 3, 2022, in the city of Uzhhorod. The unit fought its first battle in April 2022 in the Luhansk region, where, as part of the Defense Forces, it held back the enemy's advance on Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. After restoring its combat capability, the battalion returned to carrying out combat missions. The battalion's history will always include the defense of the Chernihiv region's border area, the Avdiivka defensive operation, and the battles for Robotyne in the southern sector.

Responsibilities:

• monitoring personnel's health and the sanitary-hygienic situation in the units
• training personnel in pre-medical aid skills
• providing pre-medical and first aid, participating in evacuating the wounded
• escorting patients to medical facilities
• monitoring patients' compliance with the doctor's prescriptions
• maintaining the unit's medical documentation and reporting

Requirements:

• age 25 to 55
• readiness to work in the combat zone
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• secondary medical education or incomplete higher education (paramedic, medical orderly)
• possession of tactical medicine and pre-hospital care course certificates will be an advantage
• satisfactory physical condition
• stress resilience
• ability to work in a team

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 52,000 to 122,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
• full provision of uniform and all due gear according to standards
• a sergeant rank position, staff category — junior sergeant
• training in Ukraine or abroad
• guaranteed annual main leave of 30 days
• a military team with a friendly atmosphere and support
