Machine Gunner

Overview

The 409th Separate Rifle Battalion of the 22nd Mechanized Brigade is a unit within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, formed in February 2023 in Mykolaiv region. It has carried out assigned missions in Kherson region (the right and left banks of the Dnipro), near Avdiivka, and on the northern borders.

Responsibilities:

• working with machine guns of various modifications, including Western-made ones
• ensuring the preparation, maintenance, and effective and safe use of machine guns
• participating in combat training exercises, namely using machine guns
• compliance with the requirements of the regulations
• carrying out the instructions, directions, and orders of commanders (superiors)
• preparation and maintenance of personal weapons
• carrying out assigned tasks, participating in combat operations and defensive actions

Requirements:

• age 18 to 45
• fitness for service by state of health and moral qualities
• desire to constantly learn and improve one's skills
• ability to work in a team and follow instructions
• personal responsibility and discipline

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
• training before taking up the position
• provision of uniforms and personal protective equipment, full meals
• guaranteed annual main leave + additional leave of up to 10 days for family circumstances
• free treatment and financial compensation for injuries sustained in combat
• social protection and guaranteed life insurance
