Reconnaissance Platoon Commander

Overview

The 5th Separate Kyiv Assault Brigade is a military formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, established in 2022. Since the start of the russian invasion of Ukraine, the brigade has taken part in fighting near Lysychansk, Siversk, Vuhledar, Horlivka, Maiorske, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka. The unit is mostly equipped with Western weapons and equipment. Its permanent duty station is the city of Kyiv.

Responsibilities:

• commanding personnel and their training
• keeping the platoon's personnel, equipment, and weapons in constant combat readiness
• carrying out preparation for reconnaissance missions, analyzing maps, and studying the terrain
• countering enemy sabotage groups
• knowledge of and compliance with the platoon's tactics of action with various types of weapons

Requirements:

• age 18 to 40
• an officer's position
• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• proficient handling of the platoon's equipment and weapons
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• higher education (preference is given to candidates with a military occupational specialty of commander of reconnaissance and mechanized units, air assault, or marine units)
• willingness to constantly learn and develop
• a high level of physical fitness and endurance

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 28,000 to 198,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
