Overview

The 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade is a mechanized forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Units of the brigade are engaged in the southern sectors.

Responsibilities:

• deploying the system, sighting and observation devices, and keeping them ready for use
• detecting and destroying enemy aerial targets
• working with the Stinger man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS)

Requirements:

• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• desire to study new weapon systems and confidently operate them, as well as the ability to master new approaches, knowledge, and skills in practice
• experience working with MANPADS (during conscript service, the ATO/JFO, or the full-scale invasion) will be an advantage
• no criminal record
• basic understanding of ballistics, weapon design and specifications, and familiarity with existing Western and Soviet MANPADS (will be an advantage)
• no chronic illnesses

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• training before taking up the position
• service in the active combat zone
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias based on task performance and combat orders
• provision of uniforms and personal protective equipment, full meals
• guaranteed annual main leave + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
