Gun Commander
Overview
The 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade is a mechanized forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Units of the brigade are engaged in the southern sectors.
Responsibilities:
- participating in combat operations as part of the unit
- using and operating assigned weapons, equipment, special technical devices, and other entrusted property, monitoring their preservation and maintenance
- determining target coordinates and firing accuracy
- directing the work of the artillery crew during training and combat operations
- knowledge of the characteristics and structure of the components of assigned weapons, engineering, military, and other property
- impeccable compliance with military regulations and orders from commanders and superior officers
Requirements:
- mandatory complete secondary education
- continuous training and maintenance of a high level of fire and professional readiness, continuous improvement of acquired skills both independently and at training centers
- no criminal record
- level of formed ideological, moral, and professional values — assessed during the interview
- fitness for military service by state of health — undergoing medical examination and checkup
- psychological stability and stress resilience testing during psychological screening
- military service experience will be an advantage
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- the opportunity for professional growth and specialized training
- monetary allowance in accordance with the requirements of current legislation
- upon signing the first contract, a one-time compensation of 50% of the first installment under the "Ye-Oselya" program is provided, plus 100,000 hryvnias after each of the first 2 years of service + the opportunity to receive a 150,000-hryvnia car purchase certificate
- rewards for destroyed (captured) enemy equipment
- 30 calendar days of annual leave
- the opportunity to take part in training abroad
