UAV Platoon Commander
Overview
The 143rd Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine based in Chernihiv region. The brigade is part of the "North" Operational Command. This vacancy is for service in the brigade's unmanned systems battalion. The unit was formed around a team with combat experience in various sectors of the front, one that not only operates UAVs but also builds them in-house.
Responsibilities:
- Commanding a UAS platoon
- Directing and assigning tasks to personnel involved in piloting unmanned aircraft systems within military operations and missions
- collecting, analyzing, and transmitting relevant information to the command staff
- keeping weapons, equipment, and ammunition combat-ready
- Training and monitoring personnel's readiness to perform tasks
- developing strategies to achieve assigned tasks
- compliance with military discipline and execution of combat orders
Requirements:
- reserve officer or possession of higher education (with the prospect of obtaining an officer's rank)
- age up to 55
- readiness for military service
- responsibility and organization
- ability to lead people and make decisions in stressful situations
- readiness for learning and professional development
Conditions:
- mobilization or contract service
- monetary allowance from 25,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
- provision of uniform, personal protective equipment, and meals
- annual paid leave
- provision of mandatory basic combined-arms training for civilians
- support during the Regional TCC stage, ensuring enlistment specifically in the relevant unit of the 143rd Separate Brigade
