Mortarman

Overview

The vacancy involves service in the 2nd Rifle Battalion of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Ivan Mazepa of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit has been carrying out combat missions in the Donetsk and Kharkiv sectors.

Responsibilities:

• preparing the mortar and ammunition for combat
• checking the mortar's readiness for use and the condition of the ammunition, as well as loading the mortar and firing, preparing mines with propellant charges and fuzes according to range requirements, mortar and ammunition specifications, and their proper storage
• accurately, effectively, and promptly engaging targets with fire
• storing and processing obtained information
• maintaining the mortar and ensuring its readiness for combat firing
• compliance with safety rules when handling mines, firing, and servicing the mortar
• destroying and suppressing enemy personnel
• destroying enemy firing positions, namely shelters and dugouts located in field conditions
• clearly carrying out the unit commander's tasks

Requirements:

• age 18 to 50
• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• discipline in everyday life and in combat operations
• a high level of motivation and stress resistance
• spatial orientation and ability to identify objects
• responsibility, attentiveness, and ability to make quick decisions
• ability to work as part of a team
• willingness to constantly learn and develop
• military service experience and combat experience will be an advantage
