Squad Leader

Overview

The 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade was formed in 2023. Since the summer of 2023, the unit's soldiers have successfully carried out combat missions in eastern Ukraine in the area of the Serebrianskyi forest and in the Bakhmut sector. Since May 2024, the brigade has been defending Kharkiv region.

Responsibilities:

• commanding a squad and ensuring its effective performance
• planning operations
• preparing plans and instructions for subordinates
• ensuring the training and drilling of the squad's servicemen
• ensuring discipline within the squad
• maintaining a high level of moral and psychological readiness among subordinate servicemen

Requirements:

• at least 1 year of experience in a similar position as a squad or unit commander will be an advantage
• age from 25
• ability to work in a team and manage subordinates
• good communication skills and leadership qualities
• high level of military discipline and responsibility
• ability to make decisions in stressful situations
• physical endurance and readiness to work in difficult conditions

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 22,000 to 195,000 hryvnias depending on the performance of combat tasks and orders
• provision of uniforms and personal protective equipment, full meals
• guidance during the Military Medical Commission stage at the Regional TCC, ensuring enlistment specifically in the relevant unit
