Overview

The 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade was formed in 2023. Since the summer of 2023, the unit's soldiers have successfully carried out combat missions in eastern Ukraine in the area of the Serebrianskyi forest and in the Bakhmut sector. Since May 2024, the brigade has been defending Kharkiv region.

Responsibilities:

• conscientious execution of commanders' orders
• effective fire support during combat missions
• keeping grenade launchers and ammunition in proper condition
• compliance with safety requirements when handling weapons
• carrying out combat missions as part of the unit

Requirements:

• age from 18
• knowledge of one's own weapon and its combat capabilities
• high level of responsibility, motivation, and stress resilience
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• ability to work in a team
• readiness to perform combat missions
• military service experience will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service for a term of 3-5 years
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 195,000 hryvnias depending on rank, position, and the specifics of combat task performance
