Overview

The 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade was formed in 2023. Since the summer of 2023, the unit's soldiers have successfully carried out combat missions in eastern Ukraine in the area of the Serebrianskyi forest and in the Bakhmut sector. Since May 2024, the brigade has been defending Kharkiv region.

Responsibilities:

• destroying targets and providing fire support
• conducting reconnaissance and observation, and providing operational information
• preparing and setting up the firing position
• ensuring the maintenance and combat readiness of weapons and ammunition

Requirements:

• age from 18
• a high level of motivation and stress resistance
• proficiency with a machine gun and accurate shooting skills
• fitness for military service
• ability to work in a team
• high level of responsibility
• good physical shape

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service for a term of 3-5 years
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 195,000 hryvnias depending on rank, position, and the specifics of combat task performance
