Overview

The 2nd Rifle Battalion is part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The unit was deployed at the start of the full-scale invasion. The battalion fought its first battle in 2022 near the settlement of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The unit is led by experienced officers and sergeants with extensive combat experience. The unit continues to destroy the enemy and defend our beloved Ukraine with courage and valor!

Responsibilities:

• performing shooting exercises and training in accordance with established rules and procedures
• ensuring the proper care and maintenance of firearms and ammunition
• compliance with safety requirements during shooting and other military activities
• participating in military exercises and carrying out command's orders
• carrying out combat missions and orders of the unit commander
• maintaining and servicing personal weapons and military equipment
• compliance with safety rules and internal regulations
• participating in training and exercises for continuous qualification improvement

Requirements:

• good physical condition and readiness to handle physical exertion
• basic firearms training and ability to use firearms will be an advantage, but not required
• readiness to learn and follow commanders' instructions
• high level of responsibility and discipline
• readiness to serve in difficult conditions and meet high standards
• physical agility and endurance

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• transfer of current servicemen only within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the direct commander's consent
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 190,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
• full materiel provision, provision of uniform and gear
• meals at state expense
• free medical care for servicemen at military medical facilities
• sanatorium and resort treatment for servicemen and their family members
• a full package of social payments
• free treatment and financial compensation for injuries sustained in combat
• additional 15-day training with instructors after completing basic combined-arms training
