Overview

The 109th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" is constantly working to raise the qualifications and professional level of its service members and is introducing modern technologies. The unit has gained invaluable combat experience, taking an active part in difficult operations in eastern Ukraine. Its service members have shown a high level of professionalism, courage, and dedication that has enabled them to successfully carry out their assigned missions. Over the years of service, the battalion's fighters have received numerous state awards and distinctions for the courage and heroism they displayed in carrying out combat missions. They have repeatedly been recognized at the state level for their contribution to defending the country.

Responsibilities:

  • operating UAVs to gather intelligence: responsible for launching, controlling, and monitoring the UAV during flight
  • reconnoitering enemy positions, objects, routes, territories, and other important data using UAVs
  • responsibility for the technical condition of the UAV, namely checking equipment, batteries, cameras, and other systems
  • cooperating with other scouts, commanders, and analysts to process and analyze the information obtained

Requirements:

  • motivation for military service, serving until Ukraine's final victory
  • age from 18
  • mandatory complete secondary education
  • no criminal record
  • a high level of well-formed ideological, moral, and professional values (verified during the interview)
  • fitness for military service in assault units by state of health
  • psychological stability and stress resilience testing during psychological screening

Conditions:

  • mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
  • monetary allowance from 100,000 to 170,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
  • training in your specialty at training units/centers
  • provision of all benefits and social guarantees established by current legislation of Ukraine
  • direct assignment to the military unit, without involvement of the TCC and JP
